Guys I love you, but as someone that's worked in the foster care field for about 15 years with children that are honestly in the lowest denominator, brain rot is real thing. I'm not just being a boomer or anything either, alot of kids actually really do have no regard for any intellectual conversation. It sounds funny but things are getting worse. You can call it whatever you want but ultimately it is a form of poor boundaries, bad parenting, lack of values, no education and a general need for instant gratification. So...Say a prayer for the youth of America.

My home school last year (Graduated 2015) is trying those Yondr pouches and VPN banning. All i can say is big magnets, how do they work? I would be so pissed and scared as a parent. Those phones are how people send their loved one texts in shooting scenario. You cannot use VOIP services on their wifi with the VPN ban, so bringing an old phone for wifi calls or texts are impossible. My school had a drug (heroin) and violence problem, I am still surprised the school never had an active shooter although people have brought weapons. I think all kids need their phones. If they keep taking it out, then you can take it away but them having in on person is needed

One big thing about the ADHD aspect is that it's not like it's being triggered by anything. It's a disorder is essentially a dopamine deficiency disorder. People with ADHD seek out things that give them that missing dopamine, that's why it can be hard for people with ADHD to do work that isn't exciting enough. It's a battle to have levels of dopamine like a normal person, and it's just shown particularly extremely with things like excessively playing games and social media scrolling, it's a lot of new interesting things that gets the dopamine pumping. It would be easier if the disorder itself was called something else for clairity, since it's not like "I can't pay attention" more as it's "I'm so physically understimulated I'll go into a depression if I can't get stimuli"

Trying to prevent phones in schools is going to turn into a huge pain for the schools. Every person has one pretty much. It's hard enough to keep drugs out of schools that only like 2 percent of kids use. How are they going to keep phones that pretty much every single person has out? The schools will give up eventually. People are too dependent on the internet.
